I don’t sell other people’s stuff, so I won’t be sending you emails about anything other than the interviews on this site and how to use them better.

But I do have your email address in my database; so, what if my site gets hacked somehow?

You will still be okay because I don’t have your credit card information. Here’s how that works: if you purchase a subscription, your payment information is handled by either paypal or your bank or stripe.com. So, they handle the security. Your card number or bank information does not transit this site and does not get sent to my email account. Instead of seeing your card number, I just get a message from the bank (or paypal or stripe) telling me that you paid.

I have a lot of security built into the site; but I think that the best defense is keeping things simple and not having anything that hackers would want to steal.
