Mother remembers growing up hearing Italian at the family gatherings.
When I was listening to this passage, I noticed some unexpected H sounds. For instance, at the end of estamos in the 3rd line, I don’t hear an S, but rather an H sound. The same thing happens at the end of the 4th line: instead of tuSS abuelos, I hear tu Habuelos.
In this one, you’ll hear clearly the SH sound in ellos (middle of the second line.) Next, make sure that you hear ellos se entendian and not just ellos entendian (which is what my non-native ear would hear if I didn’t have the transcript to guide me.) The next problem for me in this one is to hear hablabamos. Not clear at all for me, but the 3 native speakers who proofed the transcript didn’t have any arguments about what was being said.
